NME– The Hypodermic needle effect is used here on the front cover as a quote;

“ We’ve always been radical, idealistic, subversive and naïve. People like that…” 

This quote almost tells the viewer that ’this’ is what everyone likes so influences the viewer to like it also. The Hypodermic needle effect is also used with the style of clothing and the way the band on the front cover is. It is as though the audience has to look like the band they listen too and influences them to do so.
